Need an excuse to leave the house? Here are a bunch of cool beer happenings in the Greater Philadelphia area (including two from across the Delaware River!) to help you stay on top of your sipping game, and to stay socialized during the February freeze:

Crowlers at Tria Taproom

Tria Taproom on Walnut Street in Philadelphia is expanding its offerings to include handy carryout Crowlers™. The recyclable, single-use 32-ounce cans offer the perfect way to bring home two pints of your favorite beer on draft at Tria Taproom. All of Tria Taproom’s beers will be available for Crowler™ fills, and the current draft list can be viewed online.

“We’re proud of our diverse, ever-evolving draft list, and with our new Crowlers™, our guests will be able to enjoy rare and exciting beers from top domestic and international breweries to go, as well,” says owner Jon Myerow. “From hard-to-find local offerings to top-notch Belgians – and everything in between – this is a way for guests to ‘shop’ our beer list and bring home their favorites.” 2005 Walnut St., Philadelphia; (215) 557-8277

Coffee Love Art Series at Brewery ARS

Brewery ARS brings an artistic touch to its somewhat industrial taproom with Diana Balderson’s “Coffee Love” series, taking place throughout the month of February. This collection captures the Balderson’s love of coffee and the simple happiness that a morning cup of joe brings. All of the artwork on exhibit at the brewery is up for sale, so be sure to swing by Brewery ARS for a beer and take home some new décor at the same time! 1927-29 W. Passyunk Ave., Philadelphia; (215) 960-5173

The Hunt Series 2018 Winter/Spring Beer Release from Wyndridge Farm

Wyndridge Farm Brewing is continually updating its brew roster which includes adding new beer varieties to The Hunt Series beer collection. The Hunt Series features both cider and beer, but the beer being released in the latest installment of the series is the Pineapple Orange IPA, which is influenced by head brewer Pete Koelsch’s favorite breakfast beverage: Orange-pineapple juice.

The 7% ABV, 50 IBU Pineapple Orange IPA was double dry hopped with a blend of citrus forward hops along with real orange and pineapple puree. Oats and wheat join the hops and fruit to create a soft and delicate mouth feel reminiscent of a refreshing glass of juice. 885 S. Pleasant Ave., Dallastown; (717) 244-9900

Doylestown Brewing Company R5 Lager in Cans

Doylestown Brewing Company recently announced that one of its most popular year-round brews, the R5 Lager, is about to be released in cans. So, what does this mean for lager-lovers in Doylestown, Philly and beyond? Another sipping option for those who can’t get enough of this lager favorite! The R5 Lager cans are set to be released in mid-March and will be available throughout the Philadelphia area and in New Jersey. Next up in the can availability department: Union St. IPA and If Not Me Then Who Blonde Ale, which will be released in May. 52 E. State St., Doylestown, (215) 340-1414
